Day 3 - Wudinna - Cactus Beach

Another lazy morning, by the time we packed up ourselves from our cabin it was already 9am. Main aims today: view Pildappa Rock, stock up in Ceduna and find a camp at Point Sinclair.
Pildappa Rock was pretty awesome. It's like a cross between Wave Rock and Uluru - it has vertical walls shaped like Wave Rock, but they go the whole way around the rock like Uluru. This one you can climb without offending the aboriginals (we hope).  There is a number of campsites available here, which would be nice to stay in.
We arrived in Ceduna around lunchtime - Fish and Chips on the beach!!! (Which was something we missed out on on the Cape York trip).  We stocked up on food, fuel, beer and anything else we thought of that we were missing, knowing that it would be the last time we'll see any major civilisation for more than a week.
We took off for Penong via the dirt road - a road that Dad had lead us up a few years back and I knew had many Port Lincoln parrots.  Unfortunately the only one we found was the one I just quite didn't see in time to avoid hitting it.  Morgs said that it did fly off though, so hopefully I got away with that one.  Shortly after we also found our first of many shingleback lizards - they are not too concerned about moving away very quickly.  I think their predatory defence is that they must taste really bad.
With the sun occasionally poking through the scattered clouds and the wind gusting off the ocean we arrived at Point Sinclair and set up camp about 4pm - just enough time to set up camp and cook a meal before it got dark.  We ate our rapidly cooling dinner while we watched the sun set.
